Tuber Care : Please open your package upon receipt. Your tubers are alive and need to breathe!

Your tubers can either be :

• Stored (we suggest the basement in a brown paper bag out of reach of rodents). Pack into coarse wood shavings (available at a feed store) or other lightweight material to hold temp and moisture levels.

• Planted. Wait until your soil is 60 degrees or one week after your last frost date. For folks in upstate NY, that is June 1st. For planting instructions, check our resources page in the spring.

• Potted up and kept indoors and then planted after your last frost date. For planting instructions, check our resources page in the spring.

Shipping : All orders are shipped EARLY! March-April. We will have ONE on-farm pickup day Saturday April 20th, 2024. If you would like local pickup, please choose this option at checkout. If you would like to guarantee your tubers go out on the first shipment, please add early shipping to your cart.

All tubers are inspected before shipping and numbered according to their variety. A sheet with the number-name correspondences is included with your shipment and available in our resources section in case you misplace yours. We guarantee that you will receive healthy viable tubers. We cannot guarantee their health after they arrive to you but we can guide you on how to care for them. Please see our resources section to learn how we grow dahlias.
